Camarillo Burglary Suspect Captured by Victim

A Camarillo man is in jail Tuesday after after being apprehended by his alleged victim.

According to police, Thomas Hiebner, 32,  broke into a vehicle in the 400 block of Cedar Street at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The victim, who was described as a 23 year-old male, confronted Hiebner.  Hiebner then reportedly fled on foot. He was chased and tackled by the victim, and then restrained until police arrived.

Police say Hiebner was found to be in possession of property belonging to the victim. He was subsequently arrested for vehicle burglary and a parole violation. There were no reports of injuries.
