Malibu Man Dies During Crash

A 27 year-old Malibu resident died Tuesday afternoon during a paragliding crash.

According to authorities, Brent Butzke was paragliding near the Santa Clara River when he experienced some form of distress and crashed into the ground. Responding paramedics found him dead on Powell Road at around 2:30 p.m.

The Ventura County medical examiner will conduct an autopsy Wednesday.
