Mobile Home Burns in Weekend Fire

Six units from the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a fire at a Newbury Park mobile home on Saturday night.

The fire appeared to have started in a bedroom, although the department has yet to release a report detailing the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.

A 911 call placed around 9:00 p.m. initially alerted the department to a possible fire at Elm’s Plaza Mobile Home Park along Newbury Road. The fire was “well involved” by the time units were able to respond, according to the department.
