Proposed Park Pulls Closer to Reality in Thousand Oaks

The Thousand Oaks Planning Commission recently recommended to the City Council that the way be made for a site in Newbury Park to become a protected open space and park.

The plan for Rancho Potrero, with covers more than 306 acres in Newbury Park on the south side of Lynn Road, could see the City Council move forward on the project soon. The plan provides for several improvements, including a shaded structure, an outdoor classroom, a landscaped picnic grove, restrooms, and a parking lot with trailhead access.
