Road Closure Expected During Construction
The Thousand City Council recently approved plans to upgrade the Norwegian grade, a section of Moorpark Road between Calle Contento and Santa Rosa Road.
The project could start as early as the end of August. Road closures include the road from the Conejo Valley YMCA at 4031 Moorkpark Road north to Santa Rosa Road.
Construction plans call for a new guard rail, drainage improvements, and replacing the asphalt with a concrete stabilizing agent to prevent deterioration.
$800,000 of the estimated $1.5 million cost will be paid for by a federal safety grant for guard rails .
