Sheriff Candidates Will Face Off in Forum at CLU

Chief Deputy Dennise Carpenter and Department Cmdr. Geoff Dean—both members of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department who are vying for the position of sheriff in the upcoming election—will face off in a debate Wednesday night.

The two candidates will face one another in a debate in Thousand Oaks at California Lutheran University at 7 p.m. tomorrow. The school’s Administration master’s degree program and Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Department will host the forum—which Bob Meadows will moderate—on campus in the Roth Nelson Room.
